Goldstein
Casey brings experience in early-stage climate investing and a track record of building the sourcing and talent pipelines that connect founders to the energy transition.
Before Gigascale, Casey was an Investment Associate at MCJ, a Boston-based early-stage fund backing the transition of energy and industry, where he started as an intern. He worked on investments including DG Matrix, a solid-state transformer company that received the largest first check in MCJ’s history, and Rodatherm, an advanced geothermal company. He also built MCJ’s AI-driven dealflow engine to surface stealth founders, along with a university sourcing channel spanning Stanford, MIT, and Duke.
Casey co-founded College to Climate, a network of more than 2,000 students from 200+ universities exploring careers in climate tech. Its CAREERLAB workshop has reached more than 1,000 students at Duke, Harvard, MIT, Middlebury, Penn, and Princeton. Earlier, he built an EV charging demand forecasting model at Brightmerge, a microgrid software startup in Tel Aviv.
Casey studied Computer Science (AI/ML) and Environmental Science at Duke. He was named to Boston Inno's 25 Under 25, gave a TEDx talk, and ran the 2025 Boston Marathon. He writes Case Notes on Substack.
