Frishberg
Janet is a Visiting Talent Partner at Gigascale Capital and does hands-on recruiting for portfolio companies and the firm.
She brings 12+ years of experience as a technical recruiter and operator, with a track record of building efficient, equitable, and scalable hiring systems that help companies grow with clarity and speed. She works with high-growth organizations and leaders, designing recruiting systems and custom training programs for startups all the way through public companies, and has supported 40+ companies and teams, including OpenAI, Deliveroo, Lucid Motors, Discord, and The New York Times’ Product and Data orgs.
Earlier in her career, Janet spent 6+ years at Airbnb, where she helped grow the engineering team from under 100 to over 1,000. She was the second member of Airbnb’s University Recruiting team, and built and scaled their internship program from 5 to 130. Janet also spearheaded industry hiring for Data Infrastructure and Android teams, recruiting ICs and managers across experience levels. Janet is also a co-founder of Equity for Impact, a nonprofit initiative that helps tech employees pledge a portion of their stock proceeds to charity, leading to over $1.7 billion in commitments.
Janet holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sustainable Food Systems from UC Berkeley.
