Simran leads finance at Gigascale, serving as a strategic partner to the investment team and a trusted interface for the firm's limited partners. She runs the firm's financial engine end to end — fund accounting, valuations, tax, treasury, and management company operations. Simran lives the philosophy that finance is not a support function, but a core part of how an investment platform is built, and she brings that lens to everything from capital call execution and liquidity planning to portfolio construction, reserve strategy, and LP reporting on fund performance metrics like IRR, TVPI, and MOIC.
Before Gigascale, Simran was Director of Finance at SemperVirens Venture Capital, where she built and ran the finance and fund operations function as a team of one, including through the launch of two new funds. Prior to that, she was Senior Manager of Finance at Khosla Ventures, managing finance operations across 15+ venture funds investing across companies’ full life cycle, from early-stage Seed and Series A through growth stage rounds, and Manager of Finance at Brookfield Asset Management, where she oversaw financial reporting and investor relations for a $14B private equity infrastructure fund.
Simran began her career in audit, spending over six years across Deloitte in India and KPMG in Canada, where she led PCAOB and IFRS audits for public REITs and asset managers, including Brookfield Property Partners and Camden Property Trust. She traces her interest in finance back to her father, a chartered accountant in India who gave her some of her earliest lessons in how financial statements tell the story of a business. She is a licensed CPA and holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting & Finance from Annamalai University and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from Delhi University.
